Black Business Fridays: The Nail Boutique

Black Business Fridays: The Nail Boutique

It has been a while, hasn’t it? As life has hit me hard with the new opening of my online boutique and newer job positions in life, I haven’t gone on a luxury adventure for Perry Boyce lately. However, it hasn’t prevented me from looking for the hottest luxury spots in Brooklyn and in the general NYC area. A few months ago, I was in search of a new nail spot that will take great pride in their work and services. That’s when I came across a black-owned business called ‘The Nail Boutique’ on Fulton street in Brooklyn, NY.

With great excitement, I went ahead and set up my nail appointment with a nail technician name Toni. Upon arriving, street parking was easy to find and the welcoming into the boutique was indeed friendly. I waited about 5 minutes ‘til my services began. My nail technician, who once was a stranger became my favorite person to always see and work with every time I made an appointment.

Toni, the nail technician took much pride into her work - filing, painting, and being precise with every nail on my finger. Of course, it only gets better! While you’re getting your glam on in total relaxation, the front desk receptionist would come around and ask each customer if they would like a complimentary drink of choice (wine, coffee, tea, water etc.). That is honestly one of my favorite parts of getting my nails done, the complimentary drink alongside some PDA with my favorite nail technician.

After I got my full set of acrylic’s, it was time for the pedicure. I didn’t care which nail technician did my pedicure, as I am not a picky person with getting pedicures done. I
got the regular, Ladies Boutique Pedicure for $22 bucks. You’re probably saying, “Gosh, why so expensive?” And my answer: “You get good quality for the price you pay!” Anyways, my pedicure was simply amazing! Especially with the gel bath salt that is moisture onto the heels after a nice fix me up. Upon check out, my total was about $90 bucks! Yeah I know it’s expensive, but once again “You get good quality for the price you pay!”

Overall experience? Let’s just say my acrylics lasted me a whole month going on two and this coming week will be my fourth time I am going back. I finally found a nail salon that was not only clean, but very precise in their work and making their customers happy.
